Step One: Finger Numbers |
This will be a very quick and easy beginner guitar lesson for you guys. You are simply going to be learning how to number your fingers on your fretting hand. A picture is worth a thousand words so here is a picture of the guitar playing hand with the fingers numbered.
The index finger is the “1st”, the middle finger is the “2nd” finger, the ring finger is the “3rd” finger and the pinky is the “4th” finger. This may seem simple but it is important for you to know when you are taking future guitar lessons. References to your finger numbers on your “fretting” hand will be in virtually every guitar lesson you will ever take.
Now that you know the basic parts of the guitar it is time to move on to learning how to number the frets on your guitar.
